WACZ Media is a creative entity that utilizes its characters for books, comics, art and consumer products featuring cryptids, UFOs, and the supernatural. It was founded in 2015 by Jamel Paul, an avid fan of comic books and a published writer (The Case of the Joker’s Wild (Black Star News, 1997), The Phantom's Fixation (November, 2010), The Legend of Stratus Janice (June 2012), and Pink Lemonade with Frank McPuffin (October, 2015)).
Jamel spent a brief time interning for the Editorial and Children’s Subsidiary Rights Departments of Farrar, Straus, and Giroux. He’s also a graduate from the Long Ridge Writers Group. Although influenced by the writing of popular
television shows and movies throughout the years, his biggest influences were Marvel Comics, DC Comics, and Marcia Muller, author of the Sharon McCone private eye series.
We are Wacky. We are Awesome. We are Cool. We are Zany. We are WACZ Media.
